The McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce’s leads referral groups, also known as Marketing Connection (MC Groups), are available to members who are looking to increase their network and mutually provide and receive referrals and prospects to build their business.

Joining a Marketing Connection group is an effective way to strengthen your network, increase visibility, and build long-term relationships within the local business community. They are designed for Chamber members who want to grow their business through meaningful relationships, trusted referrals, and consistent networking opportunities. These groups provide a structured, supportive environment where members actively work together to generate qualified referrals and business prospects while building strong professional connections within the McHenry area.

Marketing Connection groups meet twice each month and focus on collaboration, accountability, and engagement. Meetings typically include member introductions, referral sharing, updates on current business needs, and open discussion. This format allows members to better understand one another’s services and ideal clients, helping ensure referrals are intentional, relevant, and valuable. Over time, members develop confidence in recommending fellow group participants to their own clients, colleagues, and networks.

Each Marketing Connection group is made up of non-competing business categories, meaning only one representative per industry or profession is allowed in each group (for example, one accounting firm, one real estate professional, or one insurance agency). This structure protects members from internal competition and encourages open sharing of leads, ideas, and resources while maximizing the benefit of participation.
